Russian Harvest 2002 Mission Trip

"An apple a day...keeps the doctor away"... an Orchard for the orphans. Holly & her missionette friends are fundraising to buy 40 apple trees for Barskoe Gorodische Orphanage. This will provide the children with fresh fruit in the summer as well as jams and preserves in the winter. This October, on the mission trip, we will buy crates of apples and Penny & Barbara will teach the orphans how to make good ole American apple pies!

This year's mission trip, "A Russian Harvest", will take us to the Vladimir and Voronezh Regions, from September 28th through October 12th. Excitement is in the air, as we begin preparing for this exciting mission!

We will also have our first Vacation Bible School at Barskoe Gorodische Orphanage. Director Alex has given Treasures full permission to do whatever we desire! Our team is getting busy preparing a lively, fun, life changing VBS. We will bless all the orphans and staff with their very own Bible. Other activities include: the Dubovka Baby House, Voronezh Children's Hospital, "Home Visits" to widows, Boy's Prison ministry for 8-14 & 14 to 21 year olds. "Street Kid" ministry & more. Other tasks will include painting, building a fence, playing with the kids, making the younger children a playroom (their first), food and clothes shopping for the children.
