2002 Report from Dubovka Baby Orphanage

Washing Machine is installed & working!
A water filter was installed after we returned to USA.  The clothes are so stiff. If the water filter does not help, we will be looking for another way to soften the babies clothes and bed linens.

The washing machine was so large, we had to remove a wall to get it into the building.  The laundry ladies were so excited with the new equipment.  We arrived at noon and the clothes were washed
for the day.  We had planned to purchase a matching dryer, but thank God, another person saw the need and filled it!  Saving money for new clothes and bedding.

Life Saving Drugs!

We brought them the most up to date medications.  Vitaly translates the instructions into Russian. The doctors are so thrilled to be able to treat the babies in their care.  Several babies we have known who were adopted and brought to our area, come with horrible ear infections.  We are hoping by providing them with antibiotics they can treat the babies before the infections damage their ears.

Disney Clothes!
The children loved the bright new Disney outfits donated to Treasures by a caring mom.

"Pooh" and "Mickey" were adopted by a couple who were team members.  They are now Texans!  "Mickey" was one of those kids who had his ears damaged by infections.  He had a Cochlear implant and is doing well.  His little life was saved, when he was found in a bag
at the morgue.
